Materials
Aluminium chequerplate
-
The benefits of this versatile material are numerous, including:
-
Slip resistant – Raised pattern provides traction on steps, ramps, ladders, floors, tailgates, running boards, catwalks, loading docks, etc., even when wet, icy, or covered with snow, chemicals, or mud. Embossed firetruck quality (FTQ) tread plate meets NFPA industry safety regulations for slip resistance.
-
Corrosion resistant – Tread plate made of corrosion resistant metals, including stainless steel and aluminium alloys, provides years of service even under the toughest conditions, including marine locations
-
Hygienic – Tread plate is easy to wash down and is able to resist damage from strong, corrosive cleaning agents. This makes it ideal for areas where frequent sanitizing is required, like food processing plants, kitchens, restaurants, ambulances, livestock transport, and more.
-
Protective – Tread plate prevents damage to walls, doors, corners, dollies, skids, etc. It also protects bumpers, treads, truck beds, tailgates, and bodies of commercial, off road, and other vehicles
-
Lightweight
Plain Aluminium
-
Aluminium alloy 5251 is a medium strength alloy
-
high corrosion resistance particularly in marine environments
-
Lightweight
-
Can be painted or left in its natural state
-
5251 is typically used in: Boats, Panelling and pressings, Marine structures, Aircraft parts, Vehicle panels, Furniture tubing, Silos and Containers
4003 Matt Stainless
-
4003 stainless steel is a utility ferritic stainless steel, often used in place of mild steel. It offers the benefits of more highly alloyed stainless steels such as strength, corrosion and abrasion resistance
-
250 times greater corrosion resistance than mild steel
-
Corrosion/abrasion resistance
-
Economical - Low initial cost, low maintenance
-
High Strength
-
Excellent impact resistance
-
Cheaper grade of stainless
-
Lower nickel content than the higher grade 304 grade stainless
-
Coating is highly recommended for longevity
-
Great sturdiness/non flexible
304 Polished And Mirrored Stainless
-
Grade 304 is the most versatile and widely used stainless steel and is generally regarded as the most common austenitic stainless steel.
-
It contains high nickel content and a high amount of chromium. Other major alloying elements include manganese, silicon, and carbon. The remainder of the chemical composition is primarily iron
-
Excellent corrosion resistance
-
Common applications of 304 stainless steel include: Appliances such as refrigerators and dishwashers, Sinks, Saucepans, Commercial food processing equipment, Fasteners, Piping, Heat exchangers, Structures in environments that would corrode standard carbon steel
-
Higher grade of stainless than the 4003
-
304 has good resistance to oxidation
-
High Strength
-
Beautiful finishes (Polished & Mirrored)
-
Mirrored finish has been finely polished into a mirror unlike the bright annealed mirror finish that has been acid dipped leaving more of a murky mirror effect)
-
Polished finish has a satin like finish similar to that of aluminium
